Stellar x402 Quickstart
Run the complete Veridex Stellar x402 evaluator stack locally and settle a real testnet payment. The facilitator re-reads the settlement from Stellar instead of trusting its own response.
The hosted facilitator, Bazaar, Playground, and Explorer are not public yet. This self-hosted flow is the supported evaluator path until the service status page marks those services live.
Prerequisites
- Node.js 22 or newer
- Docker with Compose
- Network access to Stellar testnet, Friendbot, Soroban RPC, Horizon, and npm
No Veridex API key or funded mainnet wallet is required.
Start from a clean clone
git clone https://github.com/Veridex-Protocol/stellar-facilitator.git
cd stellar-facilitator
npm run demoThe command installs dependencies, creates fresh Friendbot-funded accounts, starts PostgreSQL/pgvector, Bazaar, facilitator, reference seller, gateway, and Playground, then runs the conformance harness.
Verify the services
curl -fsS http://localhost:3001/health
curl -fsS http://localhost:3002/ready
curl -fsS http://localhost:3003/health
curl -fsS http://localhost:3005/health
curl -fsS http://localhost:3004/api/config
curl -fsS http://localhost:3002/supported | jqDefault local surfaces:
| Surface | URL |
|---|---|
| Bazaar | http://localhost:3001 |
| Facilitator | http://localhost:3002 |
| Reference seller | http://localhost:3003 |
| Playground | http://localhost:3004 |
| Gateway | http://localhost:3005 |
Open http://localhost:3004 to run the browser evaluator. Its wallet is
created in the browser and funded only on Stellar testnet.
Inspect the proof
After conformance completes, inspect the generated report:
jq '{runAt, network, passed, failed, settledTransaction, explorerUrl}' conformance-report.jsonSuccess requires network to be stellar:testnet, failed to be 0, and the
reported transaction to exist independently on Stellar. The report contains no
private keys.
Current evidence boundary
- Canonical Stellar
exactis exercised with stock x402 packages. - The Veridex
uptoscheme is experimental, testnet-only, and unaudited. - Bazaar discovery, gateway, and MCP paths are testnet evidence, not production availability claims.
- No pubnet/mainnet or public hosted-service claim is made by this quickstart.
For implementation status, known limitations, and recorded transactions, see the public acceptance matrix (opens in a new tab) and conformance report (opens in a new tab).
